Sergeant Ralph Dionne who serves as the national president of the Berlin Airlift Veterans Association, was a mechanic and later a pilot during the Berlin Airlift. About the impact the operation had on his life, he said:
“It’s the greatest thing that ever happened to me, other than my wife. It’s one of the greatest accomplishments of the U.S. Air Force. I'm proud to have served during that time”.
Ralph was a key advisor to VRH on the authenticity and hard challenges players encounter in the game.
Lt. Col. Jeremy Holmes, 69th Bomb Squadron commander, peers out a window of the B-52H Stratofortress "Ghost Rider". Jeremy was a wonderful counsellor to the VRH team, in tandem with Ralph, to translate the timeless lessons from the 1948 Berlin Airlift to modern leadership in the air.
Nicola Winter is a German reserve astronaut, former fighter pilot and McKinsey Consultant. Nicola became the second female fighter pilot in the history of the German Air Force in 2007 flying both Tornado and Eurofighter Typhoon in the German Air Force.
Nicola graciously offered her help to bring a female leader's perspective to a very male dominated period of history. The VRAirlift benefits enormously from her enormous smarts, wonderful charm and unique insights into both business and aviation.
